CSEC Lunch and Learn  EverFree's Survivor-Driven Tool: Freedom Lifemap by Binta Freeman, Kelsey Morgan, and Angela Robinson

Freedom Lifemap is a survivor-driven needs assessment tool that provides the opportunity to victims of human trafficking to create and define what lasting freedom and aftercare look for them. Less than 1% of survivors receive the care that they need and Freedom Lifemap aims to change that through six targeted assessments focusing on: Freedom, Rights, & Safety, Housing, Infrastructure, & Access, Finance, Education, & Employment, Community, Connection, & Belonging, and Mental & Emotional Health.  With case managers support and facilitation, survivors can access Freedom Lifemap on their mobile or web browsers to complete the comprehensive assessment of their current needs and goals after rescue. Survivors lead and guide the conversation and prioritize what help and resources they need to fully thrive.  After a few months of intervention, survivors revisit the tool to assess their progress over time and continue until they reach a life of freedom and well-being. Freedom Lifemap will be the first of its kind to aggregate and map global data on program outcomes, providing organizations, policymakers and funders with robust research and insights to: Ensure more survivors receive the services needed to achieve lasting freedom, Identify prevention opportunities to end victimization and revictimization, and Measure the impact of programs and scale effective solutions.
