Welcome to the King County CSEC Task Force.

The mission of the King County CSEC Task Force is to ensure the safety and support of commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC) and to prevent further exploitation.

What is CSEC?

Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) happens when a person buys, trades, or sells sex acts with a child under the age of 18.

Our Beginning

In April 2013, King County Superior Court Judge Barbara A. Mack chaired the first meeting of the King County CSEC Task Force.

In February 2019, King County Superior Court Judge Regina Cahan became chair of the King County CSEC Task Force.

In July 2022, King County Superior Court Judge Kristin Ballinger became chair of the King County CSEC Task Force.

Currently, as of June 2023, the King County CSEC Task Force is co-chaired by Judge Kristin Ballinger and Judge Regina Cahan, Ret.
