King County Dependency CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is hosting an Equity & Social Justice Book Club event on March 18, 2026, featuring Wards of the State by Author & Investigative Journalist, Claudia Rowe. This in person discussion will include a live conversation with the author and an opportunity to explore how systems impact the experiences and outcomes of youth in foster care.

This event is open to invited guests, and we welcome community partners, those interested in deepening their understanding of the child welfare system, and anyone curious about becoming a CASA. We also encourage you to share this opportunity with others in your networks who may be interested in the conversation.
