Human trafficking is a crime that happens in plain sight and affects approximately 27.6 million individuals worldwide. It is estimated that up to 88% of individuals had come into contact with a healthcare provider at some time during their time being trafficked. Patients who are being trafficked come through all areas of the healthcare system, not only the Emergency Department. It is crucial that healthcare providers become educated about human trafficking.
Our 2026 training will feature some new speakers and content.
