Description:
For almost two years, advocates in the anti-trafficking field have struggled to navigate a rapidly changing policy landscape. This webinar is intended to demystify the changes in federal policy and guidance that impact survivors' ability to access victim services and their legal rights.

Webinar Details

Date: Thursday, November 12, Time: 1:00 - 2:30 PM ET Cost: $50

What you'll learn: Join us to learn about major changes to human trafficking-related policies in 2025 and 2026, including:

  • Impacts of legislative and budget changes on services for immigrant and US citizen survivors

  • Changes to regulations, agency guidance, and sub-regulatory actions that impact survivors

  • Policies that create direct impacts, and those that influence chilling effects and are designed to scare survivors away from coming forward

We will discuss how delayed funding and funding restrictions impact service providers, how agency actions attempt to limit access to social services more broadly, and how policy changes indirectly fuel trafficking by increasing communities' vulnerabilities. The webinar will provide an overview of advocacy efforts to change harmful policies, sharing what has worked and what tactics have had to adapt.
