Trauma-Informed Training
Trauma-informed care recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in individuals and responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices. Next month KCRHA is hosting a trauma-informed training session for providers. Dr. Annie Roepke will cover entry-level and advanced concepts of trauma-informed care. The session will highlight the operational framework to provide person-centered care, which is recommended by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as well other national organizations serving people experiencing homelessness.
