Office Hours: Backpage Remission Program

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) established the Backpage Remission Program to provide compensation to individuals who were trafficked for sex through advertisements hosted on Backpage.com (January 1, 2004–April 6, 2018) and/or CityXGuide (April 8, 2018–June 19, 2020). The deadline to submit a petition is March 31, 2026, and it’s approaching quickly.
Join DOJ and the Office on Trafficking in Persons to learn more about the program and get your questions answered in real time. Representatives from DOJ will walk through eligibility and petition requirements and will host a live Q&A with attendees.
