Volunteer Info Session: Health & Mental Health Providers

The Department of Justice has opened a restitution process for individuals who were trafficked or exploited online through platforms such as Backpage and CityXGuide. Survivors may be eligible for compensation, but applying can be complex.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is connecting survivors with pro bono lawyers to support their petitions. Many cases also require medical and mental health documentation of losses, and this is a critical step where health professionals can make a difference.

HEAL Trafficking is partnering with NCMEC by inviting licensed medical and mental health providers to volunteer their expertise. This is a virtual opportunity to ensure survivors have the documentation they need to access potentially life-changing financial support.
