New Date: SOAR Pilot on
Partnering With Child Welfare to Address Human Trafficking
The Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP), through the National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center (NHTTAC), is excited to deliver a virtual pilot of our new SOAR training designed for providers who serve children and youth who have increased risk factors for human trafficking or who have experienced trafficking but may not be well-versed in partnering with the child welfare system on this issue.
This 1.5-hour pilot will equip providers with the information and resources they need to support children and youth who are or may become involved with the child welfare system.

Training Objectives
After you complete this training, you will be able to:
· Describe the intersection of human trafficking and child abuse and neglect.
· Summarize federal laws directing child welfare’s role in serving children and youth who have experienced human trafficking.
· Articulate the role of child welfare in responding to human trafficking.
· Identify key areas of child welfare response to human trafficking.
· Determine ways that you can partner with child welfare in serving children, youth, and families who have experienced human trafficking.
