Please join the National Runaway Safeline (NRS) and the NRS Youth Advisory Board (YAB) as we continue our Pride Month activities through a virtual discussion on the intersection of LGBTQIA2S+ identity and youth homelessness.
DATE & TIME:
Wednesday, June 22, 2022
3:00 - 4:15 pm EST
Youth Advisory Board panelists will offer their honest and thoughtful perspectives and experiences to inform how youth-serving organizations can most effectively serve LGBTQIA2S+ youth who are experiencing homelessness or who may be considering leaving home.
Facilitated by a member of the NRS Youth Advisory Board, the panel session will identify social and systemic challenges associated with LGBTQIA2S+ youth, such as socioeconomic status, education, physical environment, support networks, and access to health care. The conversation will also focus on strategies to effectively integrate the voice of young people to drive change in policies, services, and systems to address the needs of LGBTQIA2S+ youth.
Please click on the green button below to register for this critical conversation. A Zoom link will be provided to registrants prior to the session. We also invite you to share this registration information with colleagues and other youth service providers in your community who may be interested in joining us. We look forward to seeing you soon!
