SAFE HARBOR WEBINAR SERIES
About the Event: On January 19, 2020, Washington state legislators passed the ‘Safe Harbor’ bill (House Bill 1775) to better support child victims of sex trafficking. This new law will change the way we provide services to commercially sexually exploited children and youth. This presentation will provide an overview of the Safe Harbor laws, provide more details on the timeline regarding the implementation of this legislation, focus on the expansion of support services, such as DCYF program staff, and begin an ongoing conversation on how we adapt service delivery and multi-system collaboration and coordination to this new legal framework.
