Every quarter, REST offers a series of workshops for REST staff, volunteers, and community members interested in increasing their tools for direct service with survivors of the sex trade. Individuals are able to register for one or all workshops.

September 3rd: De-escalation | Trauma-Informed Care: Common symptoms of trauma include: anger, manipulation, distrust, disinterest, and more. Rather than seeing these behaviors as "frustrating", we need to reframe our perspective to recognize them as "trauma responses." This session will teach about various trauma responses, how to respond to them, and how to de-escalate behaviors in order to establish safety for everyone involved.
