Registration is now open for the An Introduction to Human Trafficking for Housing Providers webinar presented by the Freedom Network Training Institute Housing Training and Technical Assistance Project.
This webinar will give an overview about human trafficking to housing providers who potentially already work with or have interest in serving survivors of trafficking. The webinar will provide an overview of sex and labor trafficking, the unique needs of adult survivors, and explore how housing providers can accommodate and support survivors.

Bryan Aston is a licensed social worker in New York. He has nearly a decade of experience working with survivors of crime including human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, and childhood abuse. Bryan is currently the Supervising Social Worker for the Anti-Trafficking Program at Safe Horizon, the largest victim services provider in New York City. He also works in private practice in Midtown Manhattan where he provides trauma-focused psychotherapy and general talk therapy.
Jess Torres

Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking
Jess Torres (They/Them) is a queer migrant born in El Salvador, raised in NYC. They are an advocate in the anti-trafficking movement and the Survivor Leadership Program Coordinator at The Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST). Jess serves as the Co-Chair of The National Survivor Network, organizing a collective of over 250 human trafficking survivors, as well as a local Los Angeles group called “Resilient Voices”. Jess is also a 2019 Women’s Policy Institute Fellow, successfully passing their human trafficking initiative in the State of California.
