REDUCTION FOR SUBSTANCE

USE DISORDER

Harm reduction refers to a broad range of interventions that aim to

reduce substance-related harm and improve quality of life for

people who use substances and their communities. In this talk, Dr.

Collins will define harm reduction, describe some of its origins,

provide a rationale for harm reduction, and share the components

of an evidence-based harm-reduction treatment for substance use.
